Vladimir Lozan

Vladimir Lozan is an associate in our Orange County office. 

Mr. Lozan worked as a design engineer for Chevron Products Co. His other professional experiences through various internships include accounting, information technology, and stock market analysis. Mr. Lozan represents clients in a variety of intellectual property law matters including preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, portfolio management and strategic planning, licensing, due diligence, enforcement, and counseling. Technologies representative of Mr. Lozan’s practice include the following.

• Medical Device technologies, including prosthetics, rehabilitation, oxygen/positive pressure therapy, orthodontics, adhesives and dispensing devices, and minimally invasive or noninvasive monitoring and procedures including percutaneous access and spectroscopic analysis.
• Green technologies, including irrigation devices, advanced heating and cooling systems for conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles, and thermal management systems for electronic devices.
• Automotive, Transportation & Power Sports technologies, including advanced engine control systems and haptic communication devices.
• Electronics & Semiconductor technologies, including control systems for phase change memory, manufacture of nanostructures, electronic device assembly and casing, electronic device protective shells with auxiliary power, and wearable technology including movement sensors.
• Food & Beverage technologies, including lightweighting, structural integrity, and usability of plastic packaging.
• Facility Piping & Valve technologies, including throttle valves and piping insulation.
• Facility Management & Control technologies, including advanced power plant cycles and modeling facilities/plants including 3D virtualization systems with enterprise wide database integration.
• Manufacturing, Construction & Home Improvement technologies, including automated production line press devices, saws, formliners, hose and wire management, furniture, pool/spa water circulation and cleaning, and 3D printing.
• Sporting Goods & Recreation technologies, including self-propelled vehicles and associated electric motor design.

During law school, Mr. Lozan was a summer institute teaching assistant for CASRIP, the UW Center for the Advanced Study & Research on Intellectual Property.  He completed a clerkship with the UW Division of the Attorney General of Washington.  He also served as an articles editor for Washington Law Review and treasurer for Technology Law Society. 

Mr. Lozan was a summer associate in 2010 and joined the firm as an associate in 2011.
